I get new business cards!

The job, she is mine. I "start" Monday.

Whooo oooo oooo.

Maybe I should buy a bike to celebrate. Oh wait. Did that.

Maybe I should smile a lot. Check.

Maybe I should have pea soup. Check.

It's also good that I have the job before anyone figured out about my fatal typo flaw. Good thing scout is my Honey. She edits things. But not Sporks News apparently.

Woohoo! That is awesome. Congratulations.

Staplegate. *snicker*

You know what you could do to celebrate? You could karaoke classic country music songs for Scout. If you need suggestions, just let me know. I hear she's a fan of repetitive lyrics.

Eh, enough of that. It's YOUR night. Congrats, and enjoy. I hope it's all you anticipated and more.

I already said it once, but this time in black and white (and multicultural): Congratulations!!!

Dinner and ice cream on us upon our return from the place to which Dr. Sporks owes her Ph.D.: Vegas, baby, Vegas (now known as the Dr. Sporks, Director of Random Program commemorative trip).

Just to be clear, I didn't BUY my PhD in Las Vegas. I did some research there.

Hmmm... hadn't thought about the implications of my comment. Here are some other possibilities:

* You paid your tuition by being a professional gambler
* Showgirl with a heart of gold introduced you to your dissertation advisor
* Won it at Circus Circus in the squirt gun game

Is the copyediting job at Sporks News open? I hadn't seen an announcement. How much does it pay?

Actually, I don't even need a job since you'll surely now support me in the lifestyle to which I have become accustomed. Woo-hoo!

I am irrationally pleased for you. Irrational only because it's odd to feel such joy for a virtual stranger. Then again, maybe it's not odd at all.

Either way. Congrats. :)
I shall pop a beer in your honor!

That's funny Suzanne. Scout and I were talking about how funny you and Wendy were last night and how odd it was to talk about people we didn't "know" but like a lot. Anyway, thanks.

We've had similar discussions of late. I was contemplating sharing such thoughts, but would have preferred to do so via *ahem* email, oh nameless one. ;p

I assume you will be avidly watching that bicycling marathon thingy in that European country with your honey. Ya'll enjoy.

My heartiest and most deepfelt congrats! Perhaps TBO and I should share our anniversary bubbly with you? (I suppose I should ask her first. Oops.)
